🇻🇳 Northern Vietnam Cultural Journey: Hanoi, Incense Village, Ninh Binh & Ha Long Bay (6 Days)

Hanoi Arrival

- Inclusions: Private transport, guide, hotel.
- Activity: Guide holds a welcome board at the airport. Subsequently, welcome and transfer for hotel check-in at the Hanoi Old Quarters.
- Evening: Evening and dinner are on your own, with support available from our team.

Hanoi City Tour & Incense Village (B, L)

Inclusions: Private car, guide, entrance fees, water.
Introduction: Hanoi is the capital, established in 1010, serving as the center of politics, culture, education, and religion. You will explore its history, culture, and traditional crafts.

🗺️ Morning: Traditional Craft & City History

8:00 AM: Our guide and car will take you (1 hour drive) to visit the beautiful Quang Phu Cau village where locals produce incense and hats.
10:00 AM: Get back to the Hanoi Old Quarters to explore the city’s history, culture, and lifestyle.
11:00 AM: Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake (the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, built in the 6th century).
12:00 PM: Visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, the final resting place of Uncle Ho. You have a chance to see the embalmed body, then walk around the garden to see the two houses where he lived & worked (1954–1969).
- Then, visit the One Pillar Pagoda.
- Note: Dress modestly (covering shoulders to knees). The Mausoleum is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and for annual maintenance (approx. June 15th to August 15th).

📚 Afternoon: Culture & War History

1:00 PM: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
2:00 PM – 2:15 PM: Continue to visit the Temple of Literature (Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam) – the first university of Vietnam (founded in 1070).
3:15 PM: Keep going to visit Hoa Lo Prison (Maison Centrale), built by the French (1886–1901), now a war museum.
4:30 PM: Drive to the Hanoi Old Quarters, make some pleasant walks around the area to witness the daily life of the local people, and learn the history of Hoan Kiem Lake.
5:30 PM: Get back to the hotel. Dinner and evening time are on your own.
Overnight: Hanoi.

Ha Noi - Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua Cave) - Hanoi (B, L)

Inclusions: Private car, guide, boat trip, lunch, entrance fees, hotel.
Introduction: This HOA LU – TAM COC – MUA CAVE trip covers Ninh Binh, a 2.5-hour drive from Hanoi, historically the site of Vietnam’s first independent kingdom (Hoa Lu, 968).

🗺️ Ninh Binh Day Trip Itinerary

8:00 AM: Our guide and car will pick you up at your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter to drive to Ninh Binh.
Activity: The trip starts in the Tam Coc area. Take a rowing Tam Coc Boat Tour from Tam Coc wharf, passing by 3 magical grottoes: Hang Cả, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba.
Activity: Biking around Tam Coc village and the rice paddy fields for 45 minutes is a great opportunity to explore the peaceful life. (If seasonal, you will see golden rice fields).
Lunch: Enjoy Vietnamese food for lunch at a local restaurant in Tam Coc.
2:00 PM: Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, built in 968, which remained capital until the early 11th century.
3:30 PM: The last destination is Hang Mua cave, which can be compared to the mini “Great Wall of China.” You will walk 500 steps to reach the top for a splendid overview of Ninh Binh.
5:00 PM: Get back into the car, drive back to Hanoi (2.5 hours) with a toilet stop.
7:30 PM: Arrive Hanoi, get in your hotel. Dinner and evening time are on your own.

Hanoi - Ha Long Bay Day Cruise (L)

Inclusions: Shared bus, guide, 5-star cruise, buffet lunch.
Note: Hotel must be near or in the Hanoi Old Quarters. This is a full-day group tour on a cruise.

🗺️ Ha Long Bay Day Cruise Group Tour Itinerary

7:30 AM: Our Tour guide will pick you up at the hotel in the Ha Noi Old Quarter then depart to Halong Bay by Expressway Transfer.
10:30 AM: Have a short break for 20 minutes to relax.
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor. Welcome to the cruise. We will take you on a 6-hour journey via a cruise route renowned for its striking passages and uninhabited islets while having a Buffet lunch on the boat.
2:00 PM: You will visit Surprising Cave (Sung Sot Cave).
3:00 PM: Visit Titop Island with a sandy beach. Climb up Titop Peak for a panoramic view of the bay.
4:00 PM: Then do kayaking or bamboo boat in Luon Cave to discover the beautiful Lagoon.
5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Cruising back to Tuan Chau harbor. Enjoy a sunset party with Red Wine, Tea, Cakes, and sunbathing on the upper deck.
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: We get on the bus back to Hanoi by Expressway, with a short break for 20-30 minutes.
9:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Arrive at the hotel in Ha Noi Old Quarter. Trip ends.

Hanoi Departure (B)

Inclusions: Private car.
Activity: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
- Our private car will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight home.
Optional: If your flight is late in the evening, we can arrange a full day of shopping and transfer to the airport.
- Cost: Car and guide cost starts from 50 USD/person (will be discussed before confirmation).

TERMS OF SERVICE AND TRIP DETAILS

AGREEMENTS AND COMMITMENTS:

All costs INCLUDE GOVERNMENT TAX following Vietnamese national tax laws.
Standard SET MENU LUNCH/DINNER usually includes sharing foods of 1 starter, 3-4 main dishes, 1 dessert, steam rice, and all are Vietnamese food only in standard Vietnamese restaurants (hygienic, air conditioned, and professional service) Vegetarian foods and food restrictions will be pleasantly accommodated.
Set menu meals are shared among 4-6 people per one dish depending on group size
SIMPLE LUNCH/DINNER means each person has a bowl/plate of a local command food and a drink (beer/soft drink/juice/water)
Food requests to Fancy restaurants or Western food/Indian/food will be additionally changed subject to real costs.
The timing and order of visiting in the daily plan for private tours is just our suggestion, please feel free to change/adjust as long as it doesn’t cause extra costs.
For group tours, the timing and inclusions are fixed, guests are strictly required to follow.
Business hours of Vietnam are from 7,30 - 8,00 AM to 5,00 PM
Guides and drivers’ working time are until 6.00 PM. Any additional hour will be charged 20 USD (both for guide and car).
No additional charge for the days clearly stated with timing or late because of subjective issues.
Opening and closing times for most tourist attractions are 7,00 -7,30 AM and 5,00 PM
Tipping is customary in Vietnam and it’s suggested 20 USD for guide per day and 10 USD for driver per day (for the whole private group less than 10 pax) and this can be done directly from guests to guides.
Tipping for big groups (more than 10 pax) will be quoted 3USD/pax/day for both guides and drivers. This will be included in the trip total cost.
Tipping is a MUST in Cambodia (at least 5 USD/person/day)

TRIP INCLUSIONS CLARIFICATION:

Trip inclusions will surely be done as exactly as in each day’s INCLUSIONS LINE
Hotel rooms are defaulted for 2 persons ( 1 or 2 beds) or 3 persons (with extra bed), all rooms with random view windows (city / garden/sea/pool view)
Hotel check in/out time is 2,00 PM - 12.00 PM. Any early check in or late check out request will be subjective to availability and is charged by hotel regulations.
Halong bay cruise cabin is for 2 persons, check in at 12.00 PM and check out at 9,30 AM. No early check in or late checkout is allowed.
Entrance fees to all sites mentioned above
2 bottles of water per guest per day
Travel insurance valued at 2.000 USD (only for accidents and food poison caused by the food/drinks offered by our included meals)
Private English speaking tour guide for daily tours – not for airport pickup/dropoff/transfer
