🏛️ Afternoon: Old Quarter & Culture

• 2:00 PM: Get back to Hanoi downtown. Visit the Temple of Literature, considered Vietnam’s first university (built in 1070).

• 3:30 PM: Walk around the Hanoi Old Quarters to enjoy the lively daily life of the locals and observe the vibrant street shops and traffic.

• 5:00 PM: Get back to your hotel and rest on your own.

• Evening: Dinner and evening are on your own.

• Introduction: This HOA LU – TAM COC – MUA CAVE trip takes you to Ninh Binh (2.5 hours drive from Hanoi), the site of Vietnam’s first independent kingdom (Hoa Lu, 968). The region is known for its majestic nature, caves, mountains, and rice paddies.

🗺️ Ninh Binh Itinerary

• 8:00 AM: Our guide and car will pick you up at your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter to drive to Ninh Binh.

• 10:30 AM: Arrive in the Tam Coc area. Take a hand-rowing Tam Coc Boat Tour from Tam Coc wharf. The tour passes through three magical grottoes: Hang Cả, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba.

• Activity: Biking around Tam Coc village and the rice paddy fields for 45 minutes is a great opportunity to explore the peaceful life of the old capital. (If traveling during the harvest season, you will see golden rice fields).

• Lunch: Enjoy Vietnamese food for lunch at a local restaurant in Tam Coc.

• 2:00 PM: Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, built in 968, which remained the capital until the 11th century.

• 3:30 PM: The last destination is Hang Mua cave, which can be compared to the mini “Great Wall of China.” You will walk 500 steps to reach the top of the cave for a splendid panoramic overview of Ninh Binh.

• 5:00 PM: Our guide and car will drop you off at your hotel in Ninh Binh.

• Evening: Dinner and evening time are on your own.

• Overnight: Ninh Binh.

• Route: Based on AMANDA CRUISE using the HA LONG Bay route (known for being more engaging with more caves and beaches than Lan Ha Bay).

🛥️ Cruise Check-in & Afternoon Activities

• 8:30 AM: Check out the hotel in Ninh Binh then drive towards Halong Bay (3 hours) with a rest stop.

• 11:30 AM: Arrive at Tuan Chau International Cruise Port, complete check-in procedures.

• 12:00 PM: Board Amanda Cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink and check into your cabin. The vessel leaves Tuan Chau Marina, cruising past thousands of limestone islands toward Luon Cave & Titop Island.

• Lunch: Enjoy lunch at the luxurious restaurant on board.

• 2:00 PM: Short rest, then prepare for kayaking or rafting activities in Luon Cave.

• 4:00 PM: Transfer to Titop Island. Hike to the top for stunning views or enjoy a swim.

• 6:00 PM: Return on board for a Sunset Party & Cooking Class (learning to make Fresh Spring rolls).
